ILM Accredited Waste Courses
EMS are accredited with ILM to deliver site waste management qualifications which are aimed at staff who work in the construction industry. This sector is one of the largest generators of waste and produces around 72 million tonnes on an annual basis. Government incentives to divert waste from landfill and with the new Site Waste Management Plan Regulations 2008 means that this industry sector can no longer afford to ignore their waste management responsibilities.

The ILM Level 2 Award in Site Waste Management Awareness
This qualification is suitable for employees who work on construction sites and gives them an awareness of the basic knowledge required to work in line with waste management legislation.
The ILM Level 3 Certificate in Site Waste Management Planning and Implementation
This qualification gives practising or potential supervisors, foremen or managers the skills and knowledge required to develop and effectively implement a successful SWMP on site for real environmental and business benefit. This qualification is suitable for any individuals who are responsible for implementing improvements to waste management practices on site.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:
- Normally be either practising or aspiring team leaders or first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands
Progression
Successful candidates may benefit from career enhancement and/or progress to further qualifications in leadership and management according to their circumstances.
