EMS’s Dr Peter Skipworth is due to present at the Royal Society of Chemistry event “Emerging contaminants in waters and soils, practical considerations: - Sampling, analysis and consequences”. The event is focussed on exploring the chemistry of emerging contaminants which have recently been discovered in soil and/or water environments and are considered to be a potential risk to the environment and/or and human health.
Dr Skipworth will be presenting in partnership with Maria Romerio-Gonzalez from the University of Sheffield. Their presentation entitled “Measuring Continuous Concentration of Mass Pollutants in the Aquatic Environment”, discusses a revolutionary new micro-technology monitoring platform called MuliMEMS. MultiMEMS technology is currently in development by EMS and the University of Sheffield.
