Dr Pete Skipworth is attending the launch meeting of the Nutrient Sensor Challenge on behalf of EMS and their project partners in Washington DC on 12th August.
EMS is the lead partner in the Innovate UK funded MultiMEMS project developing a novel micro-technology platform for the sensing of nutrients and other substances. Based on this work, the project was invited to join the Challenge.
Federal Agencies including the US Department of Agriculture, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the US Geological Survey have joined forces with the Alliance for Coastal Technologies in launching the Challenge. The programme runs until the end of 2016 and focuses on the bringing to market of affordable, accurate and reliable nutrient sensors.
