Role purpose

To project, agree and deliver revenue and GP targets and the successful conversion of timely, high-quality technical and commercial proposals.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute sales campaigns in agreement with the Commercial Manager
  • Develop and convert opportunities through the preparation and submission of timely, high-quality technical and commercial proposals
  • Maintain the interface with other departments and the customer as part of the EMS Customer Journey
  • Provide timely accurate revenue and cost forecasts
  • Contribute to the activities of the Business Development department; sales, marketing, product and service management and development, forming and managing alliances and collaborations
  • Work with Business Unit Managers in adjacent disciplines within the EMS group to communicate coherent offerings and proactively identify opportunities
  • Develop personal product, solution and application knowledge

Person Specification

  • Self-starter with proven track record of market development and sales
  • Keen market awareness and knowledge in EMS’s areas of operation, and good awareness in peripheral market areas
  • Demonstrable success in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Takes full responsibility for tasks and projects, ensuring they are completed to a high standard
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
