Overview
Eclipse Magnetics adopted our Annual Legal Compliance Service to simplify their environmental compliance. This involved Cura Terrae’s Management and Compliance experts providing a tailored quarterly report on recently amended legislation, news, and webinars; a snapshot environmental audit to inform a plan of action to reach compliance goals; quarterly legal register updates, and more ad-hoc consultancy support.
As a result, the client benefited from confidence in their ongoing environmental legal compliance, their maintained and up-to-date legal register, and their compliance with ISO 14001 EMS requirements.
The Client
Eclipse Magnetics are part of the Spear & Jackson Group. They are a leading manufacturer and supplier of magnets and magnetic equipment and their magnetic technology is applied in numerous sectors including: automotive manufacturing; aerospace; food processing; precision engineering; pharmaceutical processing; oil & gas; steel, and OEM automation projects.
The Challenge
As a leading manufacturer, there is a need for Eclipse Magnetics to keep up to date with changes to environmental legislation, and to reduce resource challenges where possible. Keeping abreast of busy day-to-day activity may not leave resources available to interpret new or evolving legislation, or pick out what changes or nuances apply to them among dense pieces of legislation. In many cases, a business may not host an internal expert who understands how to interpret the legislation. This is where our experts are able to help.
The Solution

This is a subscription service which provides them with:
- A quarterly report, emailed to nominated personnel, containing information on new and amended legislation, as well as news, guidance, consultations, case law, prosecutions and expert commentary.
