EMS are delighted to be exhibiting at the Computing and Control for the Water Industry (CCWI) Conference which will be held in Exeter on the 1st-4th September 2019. The CCWI conference aims to bring together practitioners and researchers to discuss the emerging ‘WATER 4.0’ agenda; water systems modelling, data and control.

This year will be the 17th series of CCWI conferences organised by the universities of Brunel, De Montfort, Exeter, Imperial College and Sheffield. The vast movement in this field since the start of this series has been unimaginable as the water sector is now in a full-scale phase of digitalisation. The improvement of various sensors, smart meters, widespread data acquisition, complex modelling tools, information and communication technologies, Internet of Things and the instalment of 5G wireless networks will have profound insinuations for the management of water systems in the upcoming years.

CCWI 2019 encourages submissions relevant to computing and control in the water industry, with a focus on the emerging WATER 4.0 agenda. Submissions will be reviewed by the committees and accepted extended abstracts will be classified into oral presentations and posters; prizes will be awarded to students for the best paper and poster.

Our phD Associate of EMS, Marco Eulogi, will be presenting his own submission on 2nd September during the “Smart Systems” panel. His presentation titles “Using Hydrodynamic Modelling to Identify Optimal Locations to Install Local Real Time Control Systems within Urban Drainage Networks”. We would like to congratulate Marco as his abstract for CCWI 2019 has been shortlisted for best student paper award, based on reviewers’ comments and scores. The shortlisted papers will be further assessed by judges based on their presentations.

Our Business Development Director, Dr. Kieran Williams and Innovation Consultant Dr. Sonja Ostojin will be exhibiting at CCWI, if you have any questions about our Water Products and services or our range of SMART Wastewater products then please pop over to our stand.

Good luck to Marco and all those shortlisted and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
